NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Time Warner Inc.'s Turner unit is in talks to acquire the Bleacher Report sports website, according to a report Friday by The Wall Street Journal. The paper said talks between the two parties are not exclusive. Founded in 2006, Bleacher Report is perhaps best known for its user-generated content, but in the past couple of years it has been hiring professional writers, notably King Kaufman who joined in January 2011 as manager of Bleacher Report's writer program. The site had 9.6 million unique visitors last month, said the Journal, citing ComScore data. In mid-April, Business Insider quoted an unnamed source suggesting Bleacher Report would sell for more than $200 million. "We don't comment on speculation concerning our business," said a Turner official. Officials at Bleacher Report could not be reached for comment.
