BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Cardinal Health said it has agreed to suspend shipment of controlled substances from its Lakeland, Fla., distribution center for two years in order to settle litigation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. Cardinal will also be working to improve shipping practices at the facility to help ensure that certain addictive medications are not illegally diverted. The case had focused on Cardinal's procedures for shipping the highly addictive painkiller oxycodone to pharmacies.
