Loughner pleads guilty to 19 counts: reports

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Jared Lee Loughner pleaded guilty to 19 criminal counts stemming from a January 2011 shooting spree that left six dead and wounded former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona and 12 others, media reports said Tuesday. The deal spares Loughner the death penalty and would send him to prison for life without the possibility of parole.
