Groupon falls to new record low

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Shares of Groupon Inc. fell sharply Friday, pushing the daily deals company's stock to a new record low of $9.53 a share. The stock was trading down more than 8% in late morning trades to $9.71. Groupon shares have fallen more than 50% from its Nov. 2011 initial offering price of $20. More than 600 million Groupon shares, representing 93% of shares outstanding, were to be released from restrictions on insider selling on Friday.
