Looking for a few select mutual funds to create a balanced portfolio? With the TD AMERITRADE Focus List, compiled by Morningstar Associates, it's easy to find top-quality funds to meet your investment objectives. The Focus List is a subset of the Premier List, which includes approximately three top-ranked funds in more than 30 categories. The Focus List narrows that universe down to two groups: primary finds in "core" equity categories and complementary funds from other asset classes. All of the funds on the Focus List are available through TD AMERITRADE.

The Focus List is dynamic and changes quarterly to reflect the latest fund standings. Morningstar Associates evaluates the funds based on criteria such as performance, tax efficiency, expenses, and style consistency. Funds that meet those rigorous criteria are then scrutinized further, narrowing the list to primary funds that qualify as "core" equity holdings. Additional funds are selected from other asset classes to compile the list of complementary funds.
