Asian ETFs gain as U.S. stocks stumble

Exchange-traded funds with exposure to overseas assets outperformed Tuesday as U.S. stocks sold off in line with rising bond yields. The iShares MSCI Hong Kong ETF (EWH) jumped 3.5%, while the SPDR Solactive Hong Kong ETF (ZHOK) was up 3%. The iShares MSCI Thailand ETF (THD) was 1.8% higher mid-morning, and the iShares MSCI Pacific ex-Japan ETF (EPP) gained 1.5%. The S&P 500 was down 0.7% as the 10-year U.S. Treasury note eyed 1.40%.
