White House remains confident about infrastructure deal, Psaki says
The Biden administration is confident about a bipartisan infrastructure deal being worked out, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday. Over the weekend, lawmakers racing to seal a deal early this week hit a major roadblock (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/senate-infrastructure-bill-90-done-but-hits-new-roadblock-over-transit-funding-01627245624) over how much money should go to public transit, according to the group's lead Republican negotiator. Briefing reporters, Psaki said President Joe Biden has been working the phones and "we remain confident about reaching an agreement and we're always interested in any Republican counteroffers."
