The judge in a legal battle between Twitter Inc.(TWTR) and Tesla Inc.(TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk on Thursday delayed their trial, previously set for Oct. 17, to give the sides time to close the $44 billion acquisition at the heart of the beef. Trial was set to begin Oct. 17 in Delaware Chancery Court, but Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick ruled Thursday afternoon that the two sides would have until Oct. 28 to close the transaction. If Musk has not closed on his deal to buy Twitter by then, a trial date will be set for November, the judge ruled.
