China buys more soybeans from the U.S. - Reuters
The S&P 500 and Russell 2000 are both down 0.1% amid a lack of buying conviction. Reuters reported earlier that China recently purchased 300,000 tons of soybeans from the U.S. after it issued waivers on tariffs last week. There remains no reported progress in trade talks, though, which has contributed to the muted price action today. Looking ahead, Toll Brothers (TOL 41.43, +0.55, +1.4%) and Chewy (CHWY 24.06, -0.90, -3.6%) are some notable companies that will report earnings after the close. AutoZone (AZO 1168.78, -3.88, -0.3%) will report tomorrow morning.
