Ross Stores and HPE shares fall after earnings
The S&P 500 continues to trade lower by 0.3% in a tight-ranged session. It has wavered with modest losses all morning. In other earnings news today, shares of Ross Stores (ROST 92.19, -4.74, -4.9%) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE 9.17, -1.19, -11.5%) are trading lower after providing investors with underwhelming results. HPE has specifically disappointed investors by suspending its quarterly dividend. Separately, NIAID Director Fauci is scheduled to appear on CNBC at 12:00 p.m. ET. Dr. Fauci has recently expressed optimism regarding COVID-19 vaccine progress.
