Stocks indicated for flat start
S&P futures vs fair value: +0.60. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: +34.80. The stock market is indicated to open little changed after the S&P 500, Dow, and Russell 2000 closed at record highs yesterday. Currently, the S&P 500 futures trade roughly in-line with fair value. The morning has featured a large batch of economic data and another batch of mostly better-than-expected retail earnings reports. None of these have moved the market, which is taking a breather in front of the Thanksgiving holiday. More data will come at 10:00 a.m. ET and the FOMC Minutes for the November meeting is due out at 2:00 p.m. ET. It'll be interesting to watch the performances of Tesla (TSLA 549.00, -6.38, -1.0%), the S&P 500 energy sector, and the Russell 2000 today, which are up 43%, 39%, and 20.5% this month.
