Mixed open, energy and financials lag
The major indices begin the session mixed and take a pause near record highs. The S&P 500 is down 0.2%, the Nasdaq Composite is up 0.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 0.4%. An early look at the S&P 500 sectors shows energy (-2.1%) and financials (-1.2%) having a rare down day after outperforming all month, while the information technology (+0.6%) and consumer discretionary (+0.2%) sectors outperform.  The 2-yr yield is flat at 0.16%, and the 10-yr yield is down one basis point to 0.87%. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.1% to 92.13. WTI crude is up 1.4% to $45.55/bbl.
