Crude futures continue to rise
The S&P 500 is up fractionally and is on track to close at a record high should it close in positive territory. One last look at the S&P 500 sectors shows information technology (+0.4%) and financials (+0.4%) outperforming with modest gains, while the health care (-0.9%) and real estate (-0.8%) sectors are underperforming. No sector is up or down more than 1.0%. WTI crude futures continued to rise and settled higher by 1.0%, or $0.70, to $71.00/bbl.
