The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average both set new session lows while the Nasdaq has flirted with its early intraday low.Semiconductors are outperforming the broader market. The PHLX Semiconductor Index is down 0.2% with most of its components trading in the green. A few laggards are Taiwan Semi (TSM 75.36, -0.75, -1.0%), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD -74.55, 0.65, -0.9%), and KLA Corp (KLAC 293.85, -1.71, -0.6%). The top performing index components are Azenta Inc. (AZTA 73.72, +1.57, +2.2%), Qorvo (QRVO 97.75, +1.51, +1.6%), and Skyworks Solutions (SWKS 95.30, +1.45, +1.6%).
