UPDATE: U.S. oil prices end lower to snap 9-session streak of gains
Oil futures fell on Friday (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/oil-prices-lifted-for-10th-day-as-dollar-softens-2019-01-11), with U.S. prices pulling back to end a nine-session stretch of gains that was the longest since January 2010. February West Texas Intermediate oil fell $1, or 1.9%, to settle at $51.59 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. After finding support throughout the week from data showing output declines among major oil producers, a weekly fall in U.S. crude inventories and optimism surrounding a possible resolution to the U.S.-China trade dispute, WTI crude ended 7.6% higher for the week.
