WTI crude settles higher, but energy stocks lag
The S&P 500 is back in positive territory with a 0.2% gain. The Russell 2000 is down 1.5%.One last look at the S&P 500 sectors shows information technology (+2.0%), consumer discretionary (+1.1%), and communication services (+0.1%) as the only sectors in the green. Conversely, the energy (-1.6%), health care (-1.1%), and real estate (-1.1%) sectors are down more than 1.0%. WTI crude futures gained 0.4%, or $0.16, to $40.13/bbl.
