S&P futures vs fair value: +5.00. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: +5.50. The S&P 500 futures hover five points above fair value. The latest weekly initial jobless claims count totaled 965,000 (Briefing.com consensus 780,000). Today's tally was above the prior week's revised count of 784,000 (from 787,000). As for continuing claims, they increased to 5.271 mln from an unrevised count of 5.072 mln. Import prices increased 0.9% in December while import prices excluding oil increased 0.4%. Export prices increased 1.1% in December while export prices excluding agriculture increased 1.3%.
