Visa falls on report of new federal probe
The S&P 500 continues to trade modestly higher by 0.3%. Shares of Visa (V 219.20, -0.07, -0.01%) were up 1.6% a few minutes ago but have turned negative following a Bloomberg report that the Department of Justice is investigating the company's incentives to certain banks. A few weeks ago, Visa shares fell on news of a DoJ probe into possible anticompetitive practices. Overseas, the major European indices closed in positive territory. Germany's DAX gained 0.3%, UK's FTSE gained 0.6%, and France's CAC gained 0.6%. The Europe Stoxx 600 advanced 0.5%.
