Waste Management, Inc. (WM) is a holding company. It provides waste management environmental services in North America, providing services throughout the United States and Canada. Through its subsidiaries, the Company provides collection, transfer, disposal services, and recycling and resource recovery. It also develops, operates and owns landfill gas-to-energy facilities in the United States. Its customers include residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers throughout North America. Its Solid Waste two operating segments: East Tier and West Tier. The East Tier primarily consists of geographic areas located in the Eastern United States, the Great Lakes region and substantially all of Canada. The West Tier primarily includes geographic areas located in the Western United States, including the upper Midwest region, and British Columbia, Canada. It also offers construction and remediation services, services associated with the disposal of fly ash and in-plant services.
