The Company’s Zinc-Air Energy Storage System (the Zinc-Air System) technology consists of three components: the fuel tank where zinc particles and a potassium hydroxide (KOH) electrolyte are stored; the cell stack where the fuel is converted to electrical power, and the regenerator unit where the electrical power is converted back to fuel. Its Zinc8 Energy Storage System (ESS) is a modular energy storage system designed to deliver power in the range 20 kilowatt-hour (kW) to 50 megawatt-hour (MW) with capacity of 8 hours of storage duration. Its subsystems include Zinc Regeneration Subsystem (ZRS) provides the recharging function; Fuel Storage Subsystem (FSS) provides the energy storage function, and Power Generation Subsystem (PGS) provides the discharging function.
