Intevac, Inc. is engaged in the design and development of high-productivity, thin-film processing systems. The Company provides thin-film process technology and manufacturing platforms for high-volume manufacturing environments. The Company operates through the Thin Film Equipment (TFE) segment. The TFE segment designs, develops and markets vacuum process equipment solutions for high-volume manufacturing of small substrates with precise thin-film properties, such as for the hard disk drive (HDD), and display cover panel (DCP) markets, as well as other adjacent thin-film markets. It develops equipment to deposit optically transparent thin films onto DCPs found on consumer and automotive electronics products, including smartphones, foldable devices, smartwatches, wearable devices, digital cameras and others. The Company's TFE product portfolio includes 200 Lean Disk Sputtering System, INTEVAC VERTEX System, INTEVAC VERTEX Marathon System, INTEVAC MATRIX PVD System, TRIO and others.
