Franchise and management segment include earnings that are derived from fees under various franchise and management agreements with third parties. The Company owns and operates approximately 639 hotel properties across 44 states in United States, consisting of approximately 71,000 rooms. It franchises or manages approximately 83 hotel properties for third parties, consisting of approximately 7,600 rooms. Its approximately 632 system-wide hotels are operated under the Extended Stay America brand.
