Square Inc. (SQ) said late Thursday that it had hired Amrita Ahuja as Chief Financial Officer to replace outgoing CFO Sarah Friar. Square stock is up more than 1% in after-hours trading. Ahuja is currently CFO of Blizzard Entertainment, a unit of Activision Blizzard Inc. (ATVI), which said Monday that it planned to fire the company's CFO Spencer Neumann. Netflix Inc. (NFLX) said Wednesday that it had hired Neumann to replace current Netflix CFO David Wells. Square said that Ahuja has been at Activision Blizzard for more than eight years. "Amrita brings the ability to consider and balance opportunities across our entire business, and she will help strengthen our discipline as we invest, build, and scale," Square Chief Executive Jack Dorsey said. Square stock closed down 8.4% to $52.38 Thursday, as the S&P 500 index fell 2.5%.
