Apollo Global Management LLC (APO) is in talks with merchant bankers to borrow enough cash to buy some or all of the jet-leasing unit from General Electric Co. (GE), according to a report late Friday. GE stock rose 3.4% in after-hours trading Friday. Apollo is looking for about $30 billion in debt to buy the jet-leasing business, Bloomberg News reported ( ), citing anonymous sources. GE stock closed up 2.1% in the regular session Friday, as the S&P 500 index rose 3.4%.
