Amazon reportedly weighing alternatives to New York headquarters

Amazon (AMZN) is reconsidering its New York headquarters due to local opposition, The Washington Post reported (https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/virginia-politics/facing-opposition-amazon-reconsiders-ny-headquarters-site-two-officials-say/2019/02/08/451ffc52-2a19-11e9-b011-d8500644dc98_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.2815e6f44737), citing two unnamed people "familiar with the company's thinking." The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, the chief executive and chairman of Amazon. The report said that, unlike Virginia and Nashville that have welcome new Amazon projects, local politicians and advocacy groups including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and City Council Speaker Corey Johnson have expressed opposition to the Long Island City, Queens, project. The report said it's unclear what Amazon's Plan B would be.
