GE's stock sinks toward 7th loss in 8 sessions

Shares of General Electric Co. (GE) sank 3.5% in active midday trading Friday, to put them on track to close at a 3 1/2-month low. Volume was 37.4 million shares, enough to make the stock the most actively traded on the NYSE. The stock has now lost ground in seven of eight sessions (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ges-stock-falls-again-extends-post-earnings-loss-streak-to-5-sessions-2019-08-06) since GE reported second-quarter results (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ges-stock-sinks-on-heavy-volume-a-day-after-announcing-earnings-cfo-departure-2019-08-01) before the July 31 open, and has shed 13% during that stretch. In comparison, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has lost 1,068 points, or 3.9%, over the past eight sessions.
