Jack In the Box Inc. (JACK) is launching Jack's New Boosted Coffee this spring, which has the strength of two cups of coffee. Also in the spring, the quick-service chain is bringing back its 2 for $4 croissant deal in the morning. The effort comes as the "breakfast wars" between fast-food chains heats up. Wendy's Co. (WEN) launched its new breakfast menu (Jack in the Box recently added Loaded Breakfast Sticks, a Hot Pockets item, and ham and cheddar omelet sandwiches to its all-day breakfast menu as well. Jack in the Box stock slipped nearly 1% in Tuesday premarket trading and is down 9.5% over the last 12 months. The S&P 500 index has gained 10.2% over the past year.) on Monday, and McDonald's Corp.
