Facebook Inc. (FB) said late Thursday that it will allow its staff to work from home through the end of the year, according to reports. Facebook shares ticked up 0.2% in the after-hours session. Facebook will open most of its office July 6, according to CNBC (https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/07/facebook-to-allow-most-employees-to-work-from-home-through-end-of-2020.html), and the company is still in the process of determining which employees will be asked to return to the office. Like many Silicon Valley technology companies, Facebook was among the first businesses to adopt work-from-home initiatives as the coronavirus spread across the globe. Facebook has given staff $1,000 bonuses for work-from-home expenses, among other things.
