Tesla Inc. (TSLA) has lowered the price of one of its Model S trims by $5,000. The Model S Long Range Plus now costs $74,900 and is the cheapest Model S available; the Performance model costs $94,900. The cheaper Model S improved its mileage range as rated by the EPA; the luxury sedan can go 402 miles between charges, representing a nearly 20% increase in range compared to a 2019 Model S with the same battery pack design, Tesla said in a blog post Monday. Tesla was among the few stocks in the red Tuesday; the stock closed at a record $1,025.05 on Wednesday.
