In the latest bank action on fossil fuels, Deutsche Bank (DBK.XE) said it will no longer finance any new projects in the Arctic region or oil sands projects. Deutsche Bank also pledged to stop financing oil and gas projects that use hydraulic fracturing in countries with scarce water supplies. By the end of 2020, the bank will review all its existing business activities in the oil and gas sector, and the bank will review all its existing business activities in Europe and the U.S. with regard to clients' diversification plans in coal power. Deutsche Bank said it will end its global business activities in coal mining by 2025 at the latest.
