Tesla (TSLA) shares slumped nearly 10% in premarket trade on Tuesday, afterS&P Dow Jones Indices declined to add the electric vehicle maker to the S&P 500 stock market index ( ). There was no explanation for the omission. Tesla is a component of the Nasdaq 100 , and the Nasdaq 100 futures contract slumped over 2%.
