Cross Timbers Royalty Trust (the Trust) is an express trust. The net profits interests are the principal asset of the Trust. The Trust receives net profits income from the net profit interests generally on the last business day of each month. The net profits interests comprise of approximately 90% net profits interests, which are carved from producing royalty and overriding royalty interest properties in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, and 11.11% nonparticipating royalty interests in nonproducing properties located primarily in Texas and Oklahoma; and the approximately 75% net profits interests which are carved from working interests in four properties in Texas and three properties in Oklahoma. Its underlying royalties, underlying nonproducing royalties and underlying working interest properties are owned by XTO Energy. The underlying properties include approximately 2,900 producing properties in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Dillard's shares climb 14% after Q2 top and bottom line beat

Shares of Dillard's Inc. (DDS) rose 14.7% before market open after the retailer reported second-quarter results that beat Wall Street's top and bottom line estimates. The company reported sales of $1.589 billion, compared with $1.570 billion in the same period last year, above Wall Street's estimate of $1.541 billion. Dillard's reported net income of $163.4 million, or $9.30 a share, compared with net income of $185.7 million, or $8.81 a share, in the prior year's quarter. Analysts tracked by FactSet were looking for earnings of $3.47 a share. "Business softened in the quarter as we lapped the strongest second quarter in our history," said Chief Executive Officer William T. Dillard, II, in a statement. "Our first half performance was far better than last year's with net income up 21%, earnings per share up 44% and gross margin up 240 basis points." Dillard's shares have risen 1.4% this year, compared with the S&P 500 Index's decline of 11.6%. Of five analysts surveyed by FactSet, one has an overweight rating, one has a hold rating and three have an underweight or sell rating on Dillard's.
