Apple plans to delay bonuses for some employees: report
Apple Inc. (AAPL) reportedly plans to delay some corporate bonuses as it continues its efforts to cut costs, according to Bloomberg News. The Tuesday afternoon report noted that Apple typically handles promotions and bonuses once or twice a year depending on the division. Apple usually doled out promotions and bonuses in April or October for those on the biannual system, but Bloomberg says that Apple plans to delay the April cycle till October and move all teams to an annual cadence. MarketWatch has reached out to Apple for comment about its plans. The Bloomberg story also said that Apple is limiting hiring more roles and leaving of them open when employees quit. Apple shares are up 0.5% in afternoon trading Tuesday.
