The Company's lead drug candidate, Trappsol Cyclo (hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin) is for the treatment of Niemann-Pick Type C disease (NPC). NPC is a rare and fatal cholesterol metabolism disease that impacts the brain, lungs, liver, spleen, and other organs. It is also focusing on the use of cyclodextrins in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The Company's product lines include Trappsol and Aquaplex. It sells its chemical products directly to customers in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and industrial chemical industries, and to chemical supply distributors. The Company also sells cyclodextrins and related products to the pharmaceutical, nutritional, and other industries, primarily for use in diagnostics and specialty drugs.
