Aldeyra Therapeutics, Inc., formerly Aldexa Therapeutics, Inc., is a biotechnology company. The Company's principal activities include raising capital and research and development activities. The Company's segment is the identification and development of a treatment for diseases related to high levels of aldehydes. The Company is focused on the development of products for diseases caused by inflammation and inborn errors of metabolism that are caused by naturally occurring toxic and pro-inflammatory chemical species known as aldehydes. The Company has developed a series of aldehyde traps, molecules that are designed to sequester and allow for the degradation of aldehydes. The Company's aldehyde trap, NS2, is a product candidate that is under development for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis and related rare allergic ocular diseases, noninfectious anterior uveitis, sjogren-larsson syndrome (SLS) and succinic semi-aldehyde dehydrogenase deficiency.

Microsoft board of directors announces role changes and quarterly dividend

Microsoft Corp. on Wednesday announced that the board's independent directors unanimously elected Satya Nadella to the role of board chair, and unanimously elected John W. Thompson as lead independent director, a role he held previously from 2012 to 2014.

In this role, Nadella will lead the work to set the agenda for the board, leveraging his deep understanding of the business to elevate the right strategic opportunities and identify key risks and mitigation approaches for the board's review. As lead independent director, Thompson will retain significant authority including providing input on behalf of the independent directors on board agendas, calling meetings of the independent directors, setting agendas for executive sessions, and leading performance evaluations of the CEO.

In addition to these role changes, the board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.56 per share. The dividend is payable Sept. 9, 2021, to shareholders of record on Aug. 19, 2021. The ex-dividend date will be Aug. 18, 2021.
