Energous Corporation is engaged in developing WattUp wireless power technology, consisting of semiconductor chipsets, software controls, hardware designs and antennas, that enables radio frequency (RF) based charging for electronic devices. Its WattUp solution is a technology that supports both contact and distance charging based on RF charging technology. Its solution consists principally of transmitter controller integrated circuits (ICs), power amplifier ICs and receiver ICs, as well as novel antenna designs, application prototypes and proprietary software algorithms. The Company offers older, first-generation coil-based charging technologies in power, foreign device detection, retail Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes, smart cities and medical devices. It also develops silicon-based wireless power transfer (WPT) technologies and customizable reference designs, and provides worldwide regulatory assistance, a supply chain, sales and technical support to global customers.
